What to see Nairobi National Park

Nairobi National Park is Kenya's first ever National park and is a unique and unspoilt wildlife haven within sight of the city's skyline and near Jomo Kenyatta Airport. In fact, it is the only protected area in the world close to a capital city (7km from Nairobi City Centre).

Rhino, buffalo, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, lion and plenty of antelopes and gazelles can be seen roaming in this open plains country with a section of highland forest as well as stretches of broken bush country, deep, rocky valleys and gorges with scrub and long grass. Ornithologists view over 300 bird species including the Secretary bird, Crowned Cranes, Vultures, Peckers and many more. Nairobi National Park website This tour takes about 4 hours.

Details of Half Day Tour to Nairobi National Park

You'll be picked up from your hotel or the airport, and immediately whisked away to Nairobi National Park. Located just a short drive from the city centre, Nairobi National Park is also Kenya's oldest national park.
A glorious stretch of savannah set against the backdrop of Nairobi's glittering skyline, Nairobi National Park's relatively small size makes it all the easier to see all it has to offer in one day.
Home to four of the Big Five (the elephant being the notable absence), Nairobi National Park is also home to ostriches, buffalo, cheetahs, lions, hyenas, antelopes, gazelles, and plenty more.
Once at the park, you'll enjoy a half-day game drive before having the option to return to your hotel, visit some of the nearby attractions (such as the Elephant Orphanage or Giraffe Centre), or have a bite to eat at the world-famous Carnivore restaurant, which boasts a mixture of game meats, scrumptious salads, and much more.
